The AFHF will create field hockey programs targeting the youth (6-12 years of age) in your local community. These programs will be delivered using established channels such as the YMCA/YWCA, Public/Private Elementary Schools, Boards of Recreation and other youth oriented programs.
The mentoring program will utilize current and former student-athletes, as leaders in their chosen field, to become mentors and role models to young women. The program will provide advice and counsel to young women in all stages of their life….academic, athletic, etc.. The mentoring program will enable high school and college students to network with successful women leaders/role models who can offer counsel, guidance, practical assistance in maximizing one’s skills and achieving goals in the educational; business and sports fields while maintaining a healthy quality of life balance.
