Bobby Issar is currently the Director of
the Spirit Eagles Field Hockey Group and President of the American Field Hockey Foundation. He has been involved in field hockey for over 20 years beginning as a member of the U.S. Men’s National Field Hockey Team, playing in tournaments around the world. More recently, Bobby has been named to the U.S. Men’s and Women’s High Performance Coaching Staff and as a selector for the U.S. Women’s National Indoor Team.

As the Director of Spirit Eagles Field Hockey Group, Bobby has a track record of success. His training program has facilitated the recruitment of over 130 players who have gone on to play at Division 1 colleges and universities with many players receiving athletic scholarships.

Bobby’s love for the game was instilled in him at a very early age. In fact, the Issar family has represented the U.S. in field hockey since 1959 when Bobby’s father was first selected to the U.S. Men’s national team. Bobby’s brother, Kulbir, was selected to the 1963 squad and represented the U.S. in the 1967 and 1971 Pan Am Games. Bobby continued the legacy when he was first selected to the 1985 team and participated in the 1987 Pan Am Games.
