The American Field Hockey Foundation (AFHF) is
a not-for-profit organization formed by a fifth generation U.S. Men’s Field Hockey player,
Robert “Bobby” Issar.
Bobby has been involved in field hockey for over 20 years as a player and as a very successful women’s field hockey coach. His passion is field hockey. It’s this passion that has led Bobby to form the AFHF.
Bobby believes that success in field hockey begins with the youth of America. His mission is to develop a “grass roots” campaign that will spearhead the successful development of field hockey. A “grass roots” program is being established and will be introduced at the local level in partnership with
Boards of Recreation, YMCAs, schools and other service organizations
in a number of NJ communities.
Bobby’s goal is to spread his love of the game to every state in the U.S.
If you’d like to volunteer your time to start a “grass roots” program in your local community or receive more information about our Mentoring or Scholarship Programs, please contact us.
